Paw-sal Mushtaq aka Faisal Mushtaq

It’s my pleasure to introduce Paw-sal Mushtaq, the fearless leader of TechCon SoCal — one of San Diego's premier events that gathers founders, investors, and innovators together in our city.

The inspiration for this event came from witnessing the serendipity that happens when investors and entrepreneurs get into the same room, something he observed while living in San Francisco.

The conference is surprisingly young, starting in 2020, taking a short break during covid and then picking up where they left off last year in 2024.

Previously to the conference, a startup moved Paw-sal to San Diego, and as many a coyote knows, it’s near impossible to leave once you’ve settled into this wonderful city.

He noticed that San Diego needed more founder-investor serendipity (we can always use more), and he saw an opportunity to bring his SF experiences to San Diego, utilizing our unique mix of culture and climate.

He had another advantage. A network built outside of our city that he could invite in to speak and enjoy our city at the same time. Which also brings more influential eyes and energy to our already vibrant city.

Techcon Socal 2024 is set for early next year 2025, but don’t worry, we’ll remind you as we get closer (keep an eye out for a coyote code).

With technology in his blood, it’s wonderful to see that he’s rolling up his fur to build community here in San Diego and helping to bring his unique perspective on innovation, networking, and connections to our fine city.
